Watching Your Team Lose

A's lost tonight.  They matched up with the Rangers, who are hitting like crazy men and pitching decent, decent enough to keep us to 3 runs.  Tonight, they obliterated our starter, Vin Mazzaro.  Josh Hamilton, whom I really like as a player and a person (he signed my kid's hardball last year when we hovered over the visiting dugout) hit almost everything that came his way.  I love watching his swing.  He's so relaxed before he hits.  How does one learn that skill?  Giant's lost too, though I was able to go to the game yesterday with my buddy, Dana L.  That was a high-scoring game, won in walk-off 10 inning style.  Perfect baseball day.  SF should have more 4 PM day games...early enough to beat the fog, but late enough so I could work a 1/2 day. 

First Post

The blog, starts on a quiet night in July. The A's have beaten the Red Sox, 6 to 4. The Giants have lost to the Dodgers, 2 to 0. This is the way of things in the Bay Area. One team does well, the other does not. (Or both teams suck). In the end, life goes on. It's summer, we're all freezing here on the coast. Can you send us some heat...rest of the country?
